The Roots story started from a simple concept and the passion to realize it. In 1973, Michael Budman and Don Green founded Roots, driven by their love for Ontario’s Algonquin Park and its significance to them. Beginning in Toronto with footwear, Roots expanded to offer quality leather bags, jackets, accessories, their iconic salt & pepper sweats, natural fiber apparel, and home decor. Our leather products have always been and still are crafted in Canada at our own facility in Toronto.
